When this tool ships it will run entirely in your browser, so your files will not be uploaded anywhere.

Not yet. This page exists so the route, documentation and navigation are real, but the processing engine behind it is not connected. We would rather tell you that than show buttons that quietly do nothing.
Where will the processing happen?
In your browser. The file will be read from disk by the page and never transmitted.
What can I use in the meantime?
The tools marked as live on the homepage all work today, including Merge PDF, Split PDF, Remove Pages, Extract Pages, Organize PDF, Compress PDF.
