How Organize PDF works
Organize PDF is the tool for documents that are almost right. A scanner produced the pages in the wrong order, one page came out sideways, and there is a blank sheet in the middle. Rather than three separate passes, this handles reordering, rotating and deleting together and applies them all in a single export.
Every page is shown as a thumbnail you can drag. Two badges sit on each one: the large number is where the page will be in the finished document, and the small "was N" label is where it came from, so you never lose track after a few moves. Dragging works with a mouse and by touch, and there is a full keyboard path — focus a page, press Space to lift it, move with the arrow keys, then press Space again to drop.
Rotation is stored per page as a quarter turn and previewed live on the thumbnail. Deletion removes a page from the working set without touching your file. Undo steps back through the last twenty actions, so experimenting costs nothing.
Only when you press Save is a new document built, copying the pages in the order shown with the rotations you set. Nothing is re-encoded, so the output matches the original page for page in quality.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely inside your browser — the file is read from disk by the page and never transmitted. It keeps working even if you disconnect after the page has loaded.
Can I reorder pages without a mouse?
Yes. Tab to a page, press Space to pick it up, move it with the arrow keys, then press Space again to drop it in place. The same interaction works on a touchscreen by pressing and dragging.
How does rotation here differ from Rotate PDF?
The underlying operation is the same quarter-turn applied to the page. Organize PDF adds one turn per click on individual pages, which suits fixing a couple of sideways scans while you are already rearranging. Rotate PDF is built for rotating in bulk — every page at once, or a whole selection, in 90° left, 90° right or 180° steps.
Does Undo bring back a deleted page?
Yes. Deleting, rotating and reordering are all recorded in the same history, and Undo reverses whichever came last, up to twenty steps. Reset goes further and returns the document to how it looked when you added it.
What if I delete every page?
The tool shows a message and disables the export. A PDF needs at least one page to be a valid document, so it asks you to undo rather than producing a file that will not open.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
A PDF that merely declares encryption with an empty owner password usually opens fine. One that genuinely requires a password to be read cannot be processed, and the tool says so instead of failing silently — remove the protection first, then come back.
