How Convert Image works
Add as many images as you like, pick a single output format for the batch, and convert. Every file is decoded and re-encoded on your own device at its native resolution — nothing is scaled down and nothing is uploaded.
HEIC gets special treatment because browsers cannot display it natively: those files are decoded first, then written out in the format you chose. That makes this a practical way to turn a folder of iPhone photos into ordinary JPGs.
Converted images can be downloaded one at a time or bundled into a ZIP, with the card order setting the numeric prefix on each file in the archive.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely inside your browser — the file is read from disk by the page and never transmitted. It keeps working even if you disconnect after the page has loaded.
Can I convert images to HEIC?
No, and no browser-based tool can. Browsers can decode HEIC but ship no HEIC encoder, so it is not offered as an output. JPG is the closest practical substitute for photos.
Are my images resized during conversion?
Never. Each image is drawn at its native pixel dimensions, so a 12-megapixel photo stays 12 megapixels. Only the format and, for lossy formats, the compression level change.
Does TIFF work?
Only in browsers that can decode TIFF, which in practice means Safari. Chrome and Firefox have no TIFF decoder, so those files report a clear error instead of failing silently.
